jennifer dandrea

Although she has never competed in an Ironman nor has she run the Boston Marathon, Jennifer brings "LOVE" to IncludeAbility. Being the mother of a child with Down syndrome, Jennifer sees the impact that inclusion - on any level or in any activity - makes to everyone involved. When love is first, we all win with IncludeAbility.

Jennifer is a volunteer, small business owner and elementary school substitute teacher.  As the owner of “Just Cookies by Jen,” she provides cookies for retail locations in the Boise community.  Although she has served in many roles over the years, Dandrea cherishes being a caregiver to her children; her son Anthony (who has DS) has been a source of continual inspiration and has strengthened her faith.

Jennifer has served her local community for over 15 years, coining the phrase at Hidden Springs Elementary “The Power of One,” demonstrating that small deeds can make lasting impact.  Every year she’d execute clothing drives  for  neighboring schools in need.  The calling continued into Hillside Jr. High where she collects clothing and hygiene items for the school’s refugee population.  Dandrea also serves as the Special Education Liaison on the Parent Teacher Organization.

Jennifer has a BA in English from Mount Saint Mary’s.  She served on the Hidden Springs Swim Club BOD from 2012-2014 and the Idaho Regional Ballet BOD from 2014-2017 and was an active participant in Racing for Orphans with Down syndrome (  She believes wholeheartedly in the inclusion of children with special needs in the general population classroom and has been an outspoken advocate on this topic with school administrations.
